Brielle Art Show-Gateway School Students Exhibit

The Brielle Public Library located at 610 South St. Brielle New Jersey had an Artists Open House that featured artwork by students at the Gateway School in Carteret, NJ. The Gateway School provides educational, therapeutic and support services for students with special needs in Middlesex, and surrounding counties in Central and Northern New Jersey.

“The main star of the day was definitely the artwork that the students made, people, really everyone, was so impressed by it,” Library Director Leslie Naughton said about the event held on Saturday, Oct. 28th.

“I think it is simply amazing that these teachers came from so far away, and on a Saturday, to support their students even though they could be doing something else.” Ms. Naughton

Ms. Naughton also said the school is working on bringing the students from the Gateway School down to Brielle class by class to see the artwork on display. “I think it’ll be really great when they come down and get to see their hard work on display and we can tell them about how much everyone enjoyed their work,” Ms. Naughton said.

The artwork will be on display until the end of December. Those interested in seeing the art can visit the library during their regular hours. You can reach the Brielle Public Library at (732) 528-9381.
